Pinocchio walking to university in Borås

A nine meter high statue of Pinocchio in the city of Borås? The statue is a gift from the artist Jim Dine and it´s called "Walking to Borås".
Many people in Borås say no thanks. They don´t think Pinocchio has anything to do with Borås. The leadership in the city say yes. They think Pinocchio has something to do whith Borås. In their opinion it´s a matter of education.

In the fairytale Pinocchio had to choose between to go to school or to be on an island where you have fun all the time. He choose the island and there his ears starts to grow and he became more and more transformed into a donkey.
